Gaza health official grieves son killed in Israeli strike

Yesterday, ain Israeli air attack in Gaza that killed the son of a senior health official.

Footage from the aftermath of the attack shows Munir al-Bursh and others carrying the body of his son, Basir, wrapped in a blanket into al-Shifa Hospital.

“I was with him in the tent, and he said, ‘Dad, they will target us, you and me together.’ I said that is fine, we will go to heaven together,” al-Bursh says in the video.

“He said, ‘Dad, they will target me and I don’t want both of us to get martyred.’ I said, so be it, we will go to heaven. He went outside the tent and they struck him. He was martyred. May God have mercy on him.”

He adds: “We consider him a martyr for the sake of God the Almighty… he did what he had to do for his homeland. He fought, he resisted and was a hero. He made us proud.”

Al-Bursh, the director-general of Gaza’s Health Ministry, also lost his daughter in December 2023, in an Israeli air attack on a house that had left him with some wounds.

 

Israel claims killing Hamas fighter in Gaza

The Israeli military says its forces have killed a Hamas commander involved in the October 7 attacks on southern Israel.

In a post on X, the military identified the Palestinian man as Muhammad Suleiman Byouk and said he was killed in the city of Khan Younis in Gaza on Thursday.

Number of people killed in Israeli attacks on Gaza rises to at least 73,910

The Health Ministry in Gaza has just released its latest daily update on the number of casualties in Israel’s genocidal war against Palestinians.

In a statement, it said the bodies of three people killed in Israeli attacks had arrived in Gaza’s hospitals over the latest 24-hour reporting period. Another 21 people were wounded.

The figures bring the recorded death toll since a “ceasefire” in October last year to at least 1,393, with 4,822 people injured, the ministry said.

It added that the number of people killed since the start of Israel’s war in October 2023 had now risen to at least 73,910, with 174,935 others wounded.

Thousands of Palestinians are believed to remain buried under the rubble.

The Israeli army says it has killed people which it claims were Hamas fighters in Gaza, including one person who allegedly took part in the October 7 attack.

Social media platforms accused of silencing Palestinian voices amidst Gaza genocide documentation

As bombs fell on Gaza in October 2023, Palestinian journalists turned to social media to show the world what was happening to their people. Israel’s siege on Gaza had been intensified, with food and water banned at one point, and the ban on the entry of foreign journalists was likely intended to create a media blackout during the genocidal war on the enclave.

While Palestinian media workers and citizen journalists in Gaza documented the genocide, there were other challenges in sharing evidence of war crimes with the outside world.

Human Rights Watch documented cases where Instagram removed images and videos showing Palestinian civilians killed or injured in Israeli attacks, claiming they broke Meta’s “violence and incitement” rules.

It highlights a trend of apparent social media subterfuge, which I describe as Echoicide, where a message might not be erased, but the medium through which it travels is weakened to the point that the voice loses its echo.

Those who support the Israeli genocide and the those among the Israelis themselves, show how delusional they are. Because, documenting cases of removal from social media is also evidence showing that evidence was shared on these platforms. Such knowledge cannot be removed.

These people don't even realize that one doesn't explicit need to have the most recent examples of evidence. There are plenty of people who have been collected evidence since October 2023. Some of these people have put their whole archive online for everyone to grab.

Egypt urges next steps for Gaza Strip in meeting with CIA director

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi has stressed the importance of implementing the second phase of the Gaza ceasefire during a meeting with CIA Director John Ratcliffe.

El-Sisi, according to a statement by the presidency, said it’s time for the next step of “consolidating the ceasefire, protecting civilians, and ensuring adequate and unfettered access of humanitarian aid into the Strip”.

Egypt played a central role during the ceasefire negotiations that led to the Gaza agreement in October 2025.

The US Central Intelligence Agency and Egyptian General Intelligence Service cooperate on a number of issues including security, counterterrorism, and organized and transnational crime.

Israeli forces shoot and wound Palestinian civilians in Gaza

A Palestinian woman and two children have been wounded after being shot while Israeli forces opened fire in two areas in Gaza, according to Palestinian news agency Wafa.

Local sources said that a woman was seriously wounded after Israeli forces shot her in Jabalia.

A girl was shot in the thigh in the Halawa displacement camp and a boy was wounded by an Israeli drone in the Bureij displacement camp in Gaza.

Israeli forces’ naval boats opened fire towards fishermen on the seashore in the al-Zahra area in central Gaza.

Since the “ceasefire” in October 2025, the number of Palestinians killed has risen to 1,393, with 4,822 wounded.

Gaza authorities to demolish 255 war-damaged buildings

Gaza’s Government Media Office has announced the launch of an “urgent emergency plan” to demolish 255 buildings across the enclave following the partial or complete collapse of several residential buildings damaged by Israeli attacks.

A statement said that the relevant ministries had been instructed to “immediately initiate field operations and implement the evacuation plan”, including issuing formal notices to the owners of buildings requiring immediate evacuation, installing warning signs to prevent access, and arranging temporary shelter for affected families.

But it said the effort faces major challenges, foremost “the refusal of some families to evacuate”, as well as a lack of funding, shortages of heavy machinery and equipment needed for safe evacuations due to the Israeli blockade, and a lack of available land to accommodate displaced families.

Last week, 21 displaced Palestinians were killed after a building collapsed in Gaza City.

Happened in the occupied West bank

Israeli forces and settlers have carried out more raids and attacks across the occupied West Bank. Here are the latest developments reported by Wafa:

• Israeli forces detained eight Palestinians in ad-Deqaiqa, south of Hebron, after settlers attacked residents and allegedly tried to steal livestock. Two more Palestinians were detained in the Tulkarem area.
• Israeli forces raided several towns and villages around Tulkarem and Ramallah, setting up checkpoints, searching vehicles and questioning Palestinians. Raids were also reported in Bethlehem, Jerusalem and Salfit.
• Several Palestinians suffered breathing difficulties after settlers used pepper spray during an attack near the entrance to al-Mughayyir, northeast of Ramallah. Settlers also damaged an ambulance heading to treat those affected.
• Earlier, settlers fired live ammunition towards homes in al-Mughayyir, while separate attacks targeted Burqa and Khirbet Abu Falah. In Burqa, settlers threw stones at a home and set fire to its balcony.
• Settlers cut the main water line supplying ad-Deqaiqa, leaving about 700 Palestinians without water. Other attacks targeted shepherds and Palestinian-owned land near Bethlehem and south of Hebron.

Hamas slams Netanyahu’s entry into Al-Aqsa Mosque

The Palestinian group has condemned Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu entering the holy site.

The Israel prime minister’s incursion “into the tunnels and excavation sites beneath the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque and the Al-Buraq Wall, accompanied by provocative statements, constitutes a flagrant assault on the identity and status”, a statement on its Telegram channel said.

“Al-Aqsa Mosque – in its entirety including its courtyards, prayer halls, walls, and gates – will remain an exclusively Islamic mosque,” said Hamas.

“This is an established fact: the occupation’s excavations, incursions, rituals, and attempts to impose its Biblical narrative will never succeed in altering the site’s identity – or obliterating its landmarks.”

The Jerusalem Governorate of Palestine said Netanyahu, several ministers, and thousands of Israeli occupiers entered the Western Wall plaza in occupied East Jerusalem amid tight security on Sunday.

 

As far as we know, Netanyahu never have illegally trespassing the Al Aqsa compound before. The Israeli elections are on October 7th (!!), so Netanyahu's provocation at the Al Aqsa are to garner votes to stay in power.

If he loose the election, his "career" will end in court, as the trial on three corruption cases against him will resume.

About 100 Israeli occupiers storm Al-Aqsa Mosque compound

Occupiers raided the compound in occupied East Jerusalem in the morning under the protection of Israeli forces, according to the Jerusalem Governorate.

In a statement, the governorate’s media office said the occupiers entered the compound’s courtyards and performed Talmudic rituals under the protection of Israeli police.

The incident comes a day after Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, several ministers, and thousands of Israeli occupiers entered the Western Wall plaza in East Jerusalem amid tight security.

The incursion also came as the Jewish holiday Yom Kippur begins on Sunday evening and continues until Monday evening.

Occupier incursions into Al-Aqsa Mosque have intensified in recent months, particularly during Jewish holidays, amid Palestinian warnings against attempts to impose new realities at the mosque and divide it temporally and spatially.

Israel’s Ben-Gvir storms Al-Aqsa Mosque compound again

Far-right Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir has entered the Al-Aqsa Mosque courtyard in occupied East Jerusalem.

The minister was accompanied by Israeli forces for the second time in recent weeks, according to Palestinian news agency Wafa.

Ben-Gvir appeared to have performed Talmudic prayers in the eastern section of the Al-Aqsa compound. As part of the status quo arrangement in place since 1967, performing prayers is not allowed for non-Muslims, although Jewish people are permitted to visit the compound.

Jordan condemns Ben-Gvirs storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque

Jordan’s Foreign Ministry has condemned far-right Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir’s storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque, calling it an “unacceptable provocation”.

The ministry spokesperson Sufyan al-Momani said that the ongoing incursions from ministers and extremist settlers is a blatant breach of international law and International humanitarian law.

He warned of the consequences of the continuing these “provocative practices”, stressing that Israel has “no sovereignty over the occupied city of Jerusalem and its Islamic and Christian holy sites”.

Al-Momani called on the international community to take a “firm international stance” to stop Israel from occupying religious sites and to stop all measures that restrict worshippers from accessing them.

Qatar condemns Ben-Gvir’s storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque

Qatar’s Foreign Ministry has condemned the storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque compound by Ben-Gvir and Israeli settlers, saying “repeated provocations will fuel cycles of violence and escalation in the region”.

In a statement on X, the ministry emphasized that the mosque is a place of “pure worship” for Muslims and that any measures aimed at changing its historical and legal status are “null and void under international law”.

Two Palestinians wounded in attack by Israeli settlers

Israeli settlers have wounded two Palestinians this morning during an attack in the Wadi al-Shaer area of the occupied West Bank, according to the Palestinian Wafa news agency.

It said the Palestinian Red Crescent treated one of the victims for a stab wound to the thigh and the other for a head injury.

The incident follows a number of Israeli military raids and arrests and settler attacks across the occupied West Bank on Saturday.

Israeli forces block more than 100 Palestinian teachers from reaching their schools

The Wafa news agency is reporting that Israeli forces have prevented at least 104 teachers from reaching their schools by closing two checkpoints in the occupied West Bank today.

Wafa said the move disrupted schooling for some 1,100 children in six government schools and a kindergarten.

Israeli army reports shooting incident in occupied West Bank

The Israeli military says soldiers have been dispatched near the illegal Neveh Tzuf settlement, north of Ramallah in the occupied West Bank, after a shooting was reported in the area.

The statement said Israeli forces were establishing roadblocks in the area and a manhunt was under way to catch the suspected attacker.

Israeli medics say man in critical condition after West Bank shooting

Israel’s ambulance service says healthcare workers are providing medical treatment to a 30-year-old man in serious condition with gunshot wounds at Rabin Medical Center.

The Israeli army first reported the shooting near the illegal Neveh Tzuf settlement, north of Ramallah. Soldiers closed all entry and exit points to Ramallah and al-Bireh governorate.

Israeli forces close roads, tighten restrictions after alleged shooting attack

Palestinian news agency Wafa is quoting local sources as saying that Israeli had shut all entrances and exits to areas north of Ramallah city, including the Atara military checkpoint and the entrances of Ein Sinya, Nabi Saleh, Aboud, Rawabi and Deir Nidham.

It added that the eastern and western entrances to Ramallah had also been closed, in addition to the road between the villages of Deir Qaddis and Ni’lin to the west.

Attacker in West Bank reportedly opened fire with assault weapon at settlers

Israeli official Yisrael Gantz, speaking from the site of an attack by a gunman near Ramallah, has provided more details on the shooting.

“Settlers came ahead of Yom Kippur to bathe in the spring when an armed man carrying an M-16 rifle arrived and opened fire at them. One settler was very seriously wounded and is being taken to hospital,” he said.

Israeli forces and the Shin Bet security agency are taking part in the manhunt for the gunman, he added.

Israeli man shot in occupied West Bank dies from wounds

The Israeli man – seriously injured in the attack near Ramallah in the occupied West Bank – was pronounced dead at the hospital, according to Israeli police.

The settler in his 30s was inside his car when the attack occurred before the shooter fled the scene, earlier news reports said.

Roads in the area “are currently closed in both directions”, Israeli police said on X, with a major manhunt underway to find the assailant.

A military update says the suspect in the shooting near the illegal Neveh Tzuf settlement, north of Ramallah, has been seized following a pursuit.

It said that a soldier who was operating near the scene arrived at the location after the attack, shot at the attacker and wounded him, adding that he fled the scene injured.

Soldiers apprehended the attacker after he fled to a hospital near the site of the attack, the army said.

Israel’s ambulance service said earlier that a 30-year-old man who suffered serious gunshot wounds in the attack was pronounced dead at the hospital.

Driver killed after alleged car-ramming attempt on Israeli soldiers in West Bank

Israel’s army says no casualties were sustained among troops after an alleged attempt to carry out ramming attack with a vehicle in Ganim, the occupied West Bank.

The accused attacker was killed during the incident, the military said in a statement.

It was the second violent incident in the occupied Palestinian territory on Sunday after a gunman critically wounded an Israeli settler near Ramallah.

Israel army storms hometown of gunman in occupied West Bank attack

A large Israeli force has raided Biddu – the hometown of the gunman allegedly involved in the deadly shooting earlier at an illegal settlement.

Israeli soldiers besieged worshippers at a mosque during afternoon prayers.

According to Israel Army Radio, the perpetrator of the attack near Ramallah in the occupied West Bank is a 37-year-old Hamas activist from Biddu.

The accused reportedly visited the attack site yesterday, apparently to scout the area and prepare. Sources reported that he carried out the shooting alone, opening fire before fleeing the scene.

Israeli settlers stone Palestinian vehicles south of Bethlehem, injuring one

Israeli settlers have attacked Palestinian vehicles in a settlement south of Bethlehem, according to Palestinian news agency Wafa.

Local and security sources said a group of settlers gathered near a roundabout leading to the southern countryside and stoned Palestinian vehicles, injuring a Palestinian and damaging their car.

Israeli settlers, backed by the military, have been on a rampage in the occupied West Bank for months.

Overall, such attacks have surged 63 percent in the first half of 2026, Israeli Army Radio recently reported, citing security data, with at least 660 incidents recorded as opposed to 405 in the second half of 2025.

Israeli far-right minister pledges death penalty for West Bank shooter

Israeli National Security Minister Ben-Gvir says the deadly shooting of a settler represents the first case that meets the criteria of the “death penalty law for terrorists that we enacted”.

“The perpetrator of today’s attack is alive, therefore, the death penalty is mandatory. We demand the application of the death penalty law for terrorists and the execution of the sentence against the perpetrator of today’s attack,” said Ben-Gvir.

The Israeli parliament’s approval of legislation that seeks the death penalty for Palestinians convicted of deadly attacks has stoked fears. The law, which does not apply to Jewish citizens of Israel, was met with jubilation among its backers in the country’s far right.

Israeli settlers set fire to vehicle in Hebron, attempt child abduction

Israeli settlers have set fire to a vehicle, assaulted residents and attempted to abduct a child north of Hebron in the occupied West Bank, reports the Palestinian news agency Wafa.

A Palestinian said a group of settlers approached his vehicle, set fire to it and then attempted to assault him.

Media activist Mohammed Awad said settlers stormed two homes, assaulted women and children, then tried to abduct a child before residents stopped them.

Israeli forces raid multiple Palestinian villages in occupied West Bank

Israeli forces have raided several villages and towns in western Jenin in the occupied West Bank, detaining residents and forcing shop owners to shut their businesses, reports the Palestinian news agency Wafa.

Soldiers in Raba village detained several residents after searching homes. They also raided a nearby village forcing shops to close.

There are reports about fighting between Palestinians and Israeli forces in the village of Sur Baher near occupied East Jerusalem.
