The Iraelis have been a nuclear conflict maker since 1968, when the then-Israeli prime minister Menachem Begin at the UNGA spoke out the words "One must make sure that no enemy has a reactor." A phrase that appears no longer to be found since AI controls search engines. Begin made the statement a year after the six-day warn Arab countries, and while the Israelis secretly already had three nuclear warheads. The Israeli general Moshe Dayan even wanted to use one of them on Egypt.
But "one must ..," did not refer to everyone at the UNGA where Begin spoke out these words. He avoided to say "We must," meaning himself and the Israelis, as no state saw in any other state a nuclear enemy. And 'make sure .." refers to "prevent that ..." which in return is to translate in "react immediately." That is equal to react preemptively, which the Israelis did in Iraq under Saddam Hussein. With all the political narratives and rhetoric against Iran, it is just about one thing: being the only nuclear power in the Middle East as a deterence in their imperious persue for a "Greater Israel."
That is why the Israelis have their nuclear ambiguity politics. That is why they never submitted official borders to the UN. That is why they refused to sign the Non-Prolifiration Treaty. And that is why they are so obsessed with Iran's nuclear program, while the US, as a Zionist state since 1898, always have followed suit.
