US Congresswoman says ‘the genocide is still happening’ in Gaza

US Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib has accused the US government of complicity in atrocities, saying that children in Gaza are being killed by American-made weapons.

In a post on X, Tlaib said that “the genocide is still happening” and that “children are being killed with American made bombs, and those that live are traumatised forever.”

“The US government must end its complicity in these atrocious acts of ethnic cleansing,” she added.

An Israeli attack on a makeshift camp near al-Wafaa Hospital in Gaza City has wounded at least 10 Palestinians.

Israeli army fire kills Palestinian man in southern Gaza Strip

Israeli forces have shot and killed a Palestinian man in the al-Mawasi area in southern Gaza.

The man succumbed to his wounds as he arrived at a hospital, the official Wafa news agency reported.

The Israeli army earlier attacked a makeshift camp in Gaza City, wounding at least 10 Palestinians.

New Zealand FM expresses ‘concern’ over Israeli violence in the West Bank

New Zealand’s top diplomat Winston Peters has spoken with his Israeli counterpart Gideon Saar about escalating violence in the occupied West Bank.

Peters expressed “concern at the escalation in settler violence and expansion of illegal Israeli settlements in the West Bank, and at the humanitarian situation in Gaza”, according to a statement from the New Zealand foreign ministry.

Peters also plans to speak with Palestinian foreign minister, the statement added.

Palestinian dies from wounds after Israeli attack on Gaza City

A Palestinian has died after succumbing to injuries sustained in an Israeli air strike west of Gaza City, a source at al-Shifa Hospital tells Al Jazeera.

Twenty-one Palestinians, including four children, were also wounded on Monday in Israeli attacks on the besieged Gaza Strip.

Since October 2023, Israel has killed more than 73,000 Palestinians and injured at least 174,000 others in its genocidal war on Gaza, while destroying about 90 percent of the enclave’s infrastructure.

Israeli quad copters kill at least 60 Palestinians in Gaza since ‘ceasefire’

Euro Med human rights monitor says Israeli quad copter drones have killed at least 60 Palestinian civilians in the Gaza Strip since a “ceasefire” took effect in October 2025.

Field documentation showed three patterns: direct drone gunfire at individuals, bombs dropped on tents housing displaced people, and UAVs near the “yellow line” that targeted farmers and shepherds.

“The repeated occurrence of these incidents after the ceasefire, and the targeting of children, displaced people, farmers, shepherds, and people returning to check on their homes, reveals a continuing pattern of the deliberate killing of Palestinian civilians,” Euro Med said.

Gaza’s Health Ministry reported 1,368 Palestinians were killed in Israeli attacks in total since October 2025.

One killed, several wounded in Israeli drone strike on Khan Younis

At least one Palestinian has been killed and several others wounded by an Israeli drone strike on a tent sheltering displaced people in the al-Mawasi area of Khan Younis, a source at Nasser Hospital says.

MSF bus carrying 10 aid workers damaged in Israeli air strike in Gaza City

A bus operated by Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) carrying 10 humanitarian workers was damaged in Gaza City when an Israeli air strike targeted vehicle two meters away, the medical charity says.

One staff member was wounded in the strike on Sunday, the organization said in a post on X

MSF said the bus was clearly marked as belonging to the humanitarian group with a large emblem on its roof identifying it as such.

“Once again, Israeli forces have shown a blatant disregard for the safety of humanitarian and medical personnel,” MSF said.

The group said no location in Gaza is safe and called for civilians, healthcare workers, and humanitarian staff to be protected.

MSF says staff member wounded in Israeli strike in Gaza City

A staff member with Doctors Without Borders, known by its French acronym MSF, was wounded by an Israeli air strike that hit a vehicle just two metres (7 feet) away from one of its buses in Gaza City on Sunday, the medical charity says.

The bus was carrying 10 humanitarian workers at the time of the attack on Sunday. The vehicle was clearly identified as belonging to the charity, with a large MSF logo on its roof, the group said in a statement posted on X.

“Once again, Israeli forces have shown a blatant disregard for the safety of humanitarian and medical personnel,” MSF said.

“Nowhere is safe in Gaza. Civilians, healthcare workers and humanitarian staff must be protected. Clearly marked medical and humanitarian vehicles must be spared from attacks.”

There are indications that Israeli violations will continue in Gaza

Most areas in Gaza have been subjected to attacks by Israeli drones.

In central Gaza City, the most significant incident concerns the targeting of a tent in the Yarmouk area. At least 13 wounded people were taken to hospital.

In addition, a house in the western part of Gaza City was targeted, resulting in one critically injured person being taken to al-Shifa Medical Complex. The same applies to what took place in Khan Younis in the south, where a group of Palestinians was also targeted. Six of them were wounded.

In the central governorate as well, in the town of Al-Zawaida, there were injuries following another Israeli strike in the central area.

All of this comes amid intensive low-altitude flights by reconnaissance aircraft. These are all indications that the violations may continue particularly in the western parts of the governorates.

Palestinian commission reports deteriorating conditions, abuse of detainees in Israeli prisons

Palestinians held in Israeli prisons face deteriorating conditions marked by inadequate food, medical neglect, overcrowding and punitive treatment, the Palestinian Commission of Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs says.

The commission said in a statement that prison authorities had denied detainees at Naqab Prison adequate food and essential medical care, resulting in significant weight loss since October 2023.

It said Murad Bani Odeh, 48, who has previous gunshot injuries to his legs, had lost around 40kg (88lb), with authorities confiscating his crutches and discontinuing his medication and painkillers. Another detainee, Thaer Bikairat, 23, continues to suffer breathing difficulties from a bullet lodged in his chest, the commission said.

At Damon Prison, Shaimaa Khazem, a 27-year-old female detainee, said prison forces beat, restrained and blindfolded detainees and deprived them of basic necessities.

Separately, the commission said Israeli prison repression units wounded two Palestinian detainees during a raid on Ganot Prison, using stun grenades and rubber-coated bullets.

Portugal’s Foreign Minister says Israeli settlement plan ‘extremely pernicious’

The Portuguese Foreign Minister Paulo Rangel has called the Israeli settlement expansion plan E1 “extremely pernicious”.

Following a meeting with the Palestinian Foreign Minister Varsen Aghabekian Shahin in Lisbon, Rangel said the Israeli plan would divide the occupied West Bank and isolate occupied East Jerusalem, and was incompatible with a two-state solution.

Rangel said Israel’s economic pressure on the West Bank and East Jerusalem is undermining prospects for a viable Palestinian state.

Israel’s withholding of Palestinian tax revenues amounted to a “brutal strangulation” of the Palestinian Authority’s finances, preventing the economy from functioning, Rangel added.

Israel’s E1 plan, approved by the government in 2025, aims to build more than 3,400 housing units on roughly 12sq km (4.6sq miles) of Palestinian land in the occupied West Bank.

Israeli forces carry out dawn raids, arrests in occupied West Bank

The Israeli military has arrested four Palestinians across Bethlehem Governorate in the occupied West Bank, including a father and son, Wafa reports.

Soldiers stormed Bethlehem city, Dheisheh refugee camp and Aida camp.

Israeli forces also raided the town of Tubas and searched a number of homes, but left without making arrests.

Israeli forces shoot Palestinian, torch vehicle in occupied West Bank

The Israeli army has shot a man in the occupied West Bank town of Beit Ula, west of Hebron, Wafa reports.

Soldiers chased the man during a raid on the village and opened fire on his vehicle, wounding him, sources told Wafa.

As he was transported to a medical centre for treatment, soldiers set his vehicle on fire.

Israeli forces separately arrested two other Palestinians in raids on nearby towns.

Israel arrests more Palestinians in occupied West Bank

Israeli forces have arrested seven Palestinians from the towns of Qabatiya and Jalbun in the Jenin governorate after raiding and searching their homes, Wafa reports.

The army also stormed dozens around 50 homes in the village of Luban Ash-Sharqiya south of Nablus, where they deployed 10 military vehicles and sent foot soldiers through the streets.

One man was arrested in the nearby village of Urif.

Israel’s actions in West Bank amount to apartheid, rights group says

Israel’s “project of elimination” in the occupied West Bank fits the legal definition of apartheid, Israeli-Palestinian human rights group B’Tselem has said.

In a new report detailing escalating violence and displacement in the West Bank, B’Tselem said Israel “is using its military occupation … as a central tool for maintaining an apartheid regime”, including committing “inhuman acts” that meet the legal definition of apartheid.

The report concludes that Israel’s actions are “neither a temporary crisis nor a collection of random human rights violations”, but rather “an accelerated and explicit phase in an ongoing project of elimination that operates within the Israeli apartheid regime”.

B’Tselem report shows Israeli logic of elimination ‘in the making for decades’

The Israeli human rights group has underscored five main action points that the far-right government is using to “eliminate” Palestinian society.

The first is violence, whether by Israeli settlers or forces. The second is economic strangulation and making Palestinians dependent on the Israeli economy and restrictions.

The third is movement restrictions, which we’ve been seeing a lot of in the occupied West Bank, with more than 1,000 checkpoints, roadblocks and cement blocks making transit between one Palestinian village and another very difficult.

The fourth is the attack on the sociopolitical fabric: trying to eliminate whatever Palestinians have that unites them, that keeps their national memory alive; their symbols, whatever would be seen as something from the national collective and culture, are being attacked. Fifth, other Israeli measures that talk about land, ethnic cleansing and dispossession.

All of that is happening across the occupied West Bank – what has been reporting on in past years is exactly what the report is highlighting.

It’s saying while this practice has accelerated in the past three years since October 7, 2023, the underlying logic is there – and has been in the making for decades.

The Israeli army says its forces have arrested Muhammad Ibrahim Abd al-Wahab Shahada who it claims is a senior Fatah fighter in the occupied West Bank city of Tulkarem.

Israeli bulldozers level Palestinian land near Ramallah for settler bypass road

Israeli forces and settlers have begun levelling Palestinian land near the village of Nilin, west of Ramallah, to build a bypass road linking two unauthorized settlement outposts to a newly established settlement, our colleagues on the ground are reporting.

Bulldozers have been operating in the area for several days, according to local activists, who said the road and settlement construction would encompass roughly 15 square kilometres (5.8 square miles) of olive groves belonging to Palestinian residents of Nilin, Budrus and Qibya.

The activists said the development would further isolate Nilin, which they described as increasingly hemmed in by Israeli infrastructure: Route 446 to the east, Israel’s separation barrier to the south, an existing settlement to the west, and two outposts to the north.
