US envoy to Israel accuses UK’s Miliband of ‘Jew hate’ over Gaza comments

US Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee has said that “the Brits have lost it” after UK Foreign Secretary Ed Miliband accused Israel of blocking medicine from entering the Gaza Strip.

“The Jew hate of their government knows no boundaries and knows no facts,” Huckabee wrote on X.

Earlier, Miliband – who is Jewish – said on Instagram that he had met with people who had been in Gaza and was briefed on the “horrific” situation unfolding there.

He said experts had told him about “medicines being blocked” and “children dying while waiting for vital lifesaving treatment”.

What Miliband have said has nothing to do with "Jew hate" but humanity.

At least 7 Palestinians injured in Israeli attacks on Gaza

Israeli attacks in Gaza have wounded at least seven Palestinians, including two children, the Turkish Anadolu agency reports, citing medical sources.

Two of the victims were injured when Israeli naval forces fired at tents housing displaced civilians in the Al-Khalidi area in northwestern Gaza City, Anadolu reported.

A child was hurt in a separate Israeli attack on another displacement camp in the as-Sudaniya area of northwestern Gaza, the agency said.

Three more were injured in an Israeli air raid on the Tuffah neighbourhood, northeast of Gaza City, Anadolu reported, citing the Palestinian Red Crescent Society.

A child was also admitted to hospital with minor shrapnel wounds from the same strike, Anadolu said, citing a source at Al-Ahli Arab Hospital.

The Palestinian Wafa news agency also reported on the four injuries in Tuffah and as-Sudaniya.

At least 1,344 Palestinians have been killed, and 4,464 injured in Israeli military operations since the October 11 “ceasefire” took effect.

Gaza to hold mass funeral after about 100 bodies recovered from rubble

Preparations for the funeral procession are under  way in the Zeitoun neighborhood in eastern Gaza City.

This neighborhood has been repeatedly hit by the Israeli army over the course of the last nearly three years.

A civil defence officer confirmed that the majority of the remains were of children.

Gaza family with 55 dead planned to evacuate hours after Israeli bombs dropped

It’s not just this cluster of homes bombed at the opening of the genocide, but across the Zeitoun neighborhood in Gaza City. It’s one of the hardest-hit.

People were not given sufficient time to evacuate. They were, in fact, not told this area was going to be bombed by the Israeli military.

Surviving family members told us these families – particularly the Malka family – were preparing the next morning to evacuate. They were worried they had a large number of relatives sheltering, and they planned to evacuate at 6am (04:00 GMT).
But that did not happen because Israeli bombs were dropped at about 3am (01:00 GMT). All of them were buried underneath the rubble.

8 nations condemn Israeli plan to forcibly displace millions from Gaza

The United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Jordan, Indonesia, Pakistan, Turkiye, and Egypt have denounced plans by Israel to forcibly displace millions of people from the Gaza Strip.

In a joint statement, the countries’ foreign ministers expressed their “unequivocal rejection and condemnation of any attempts or plans aimed at displacing the Palestinian people” and emphasized such a move would violate international law.

National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir on Thursday revealed a plan for the removal of 2.3 million Palestinians from the Gaza Strip within seven years.

His office seeks to establish a dedicated ministry to carry out the forced displacement, as well as secure agreements with countries to take in ethnically cleansed people from Gaza.

The announcement came shortly after Defence Minister Israel Katz said forcibly de-populating Gaza was the “only solution”.

US Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee has accused UK Foreign Secretary Ed Miliband of anti-Semitism after the latter posted about Gaza’s need for humanitarian aid.

In an Instagram video yesterday, Miliband – who is Jewish – said what is unfolding in Gaza is “horrific”. He highlighted Israel’s blockade against medicines and life-saving treatment for Palestinian children.

In response, Israel’s Foreign Ministry claimed there were “no restrictions whatsoever on the entry of medicines”.

The Israeli blockade of humanitarian aid is older then those ordered in October 2023 by Yoav Gallant, who was the Israeli "defense" minister at the beginning of the genocidal war on Gaza.

Two people, including a child, have been killed in an attack by Israeli aircraft on a vehicle near the Hamid intersection in the Nasr neighborhood, west of Gaza City. Six others were injured.

There are casualties following an Israeli drone strike on the Rimal neighborhood west of Gaza City.

One person was killed and another wounded in the Israeli drone strike in the Rimal, a source at al-Shifa Hospital says.

Arab League head condemns Israeli ministers’ remarks on displacing Palestinians from Gaza

The secretary-general of the Arab League, Nabil Fahmy, has condemned statements made by far-right Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir and Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz regarding the displacement of the Palestinians from Gaza.

“Such statements defy the efforts of the international community to advance peace, bring the war in Gaza to an end, and put a stop to the humanitarian suffering endured by Gazans over recent months as a result of Israel’s continued unilateral and escalatory policies,” Fahmy said in a press statement.

“Any discussion of the displacement of the Palestinian people is categorically unacceptable,” he added.

Israeli officials have been using “migration” as a euphemism for depopulating Gaza.

Katz last week said the Israeli government was ready to get Palestinians out of Gaza “by sea, by air and by any means to do it”, and that the idea is still “being discussed all the time”.

Ben-Gvir echoed Katz’s statements the following day.

“Instead of illusions of peace now, we need actions of emigration now,” Ben-Gvir said. “Instead of [Palestinians] digging tunnels, it’s time to pack suitcases.”

Israeli officials’ Gaza remarks hindering peace efforts: Arab League chief Fahmy

Arab League Secretary-General Nabil Fahmy has made additional remarks about Israeli ministers’ desire to remove Palestinians from Gaza.

In a statement, Fahmy said the comments came at the same time as “Israel’s lack of response to the internationally agreed-upon peace efforts”, which “represents the occupying power’s further complicating of the situation, pushing the security and stability of the region into danger, and diverting attention from the real reasons behind obstructing peace efforts”.

He affirmed his support for “the steadfastness of the Palestinian people on their land” and stated that the league supports the establishment of an independent Palestinian state, with East Jerusalem as its capital.

Fahmy also called on the international community and its institutions to confront such statements by Israeli officials.

Five Palestinians, including two children, killed in Gaza attacks

Five Palestinians, including a girl and a boy, have been killed in Israeli attacks on Gaza City and Deir el-Balah, according to the Wafa news agency, which gave details on four of the deaths.

Wafa said an Israeli drone struck a group of Palestinians near the “Telecommunications Junction” in the Rimal neighborhood of western Gaza City, killing one person and wounding others.

A child was also killed in Israeli shelling of a school sheltering displaced Palestinians in Deir el-Balah, central Gaza, while a father and his six-year-old daughter were killed when a vehicle they were travelling in was targeted in Gaza City.

Wafa, citing medical sources, said Gaza’s overall death toll since October 7, 2023, has risen to 73,651, with 174,592 people wounded.

It said 1,344 Palestinians have been killed and 4,481 wounded since the “ceasefire” came into effect on October 11, while 826 bodies have been recovered.

Israeli gunfire wounds Palestinian child, man during West Bank raids

Israeli forces have shot a Palestinian child in the leg during an attack on the occupied West Bank city of Qalqilya, Wafa news agency is reporting.

In Jenin, a 50-year-old man was wounded after Israeli forces opened fire.

The Israeli army also arrested at least nine Palestinians in Aqqaba, north of Tubas. Soldiers searched homes, confiscated a vehicle and interrogated young men in the town.

Israeli soldiers storm schools in West Bank on start of new academic year

Israeli forces have raided two schools near the occupied West Bank town of Nablus and demanded the removal of Palestinian flags, the Wafa news agency is reporting.

Today marks the start of the academic year in the occupied West Bank, with roughly 846,000 students enrolling.

Education officials in the town of Aqqaba near Tubas delayed the start of classes due to an Israeli raid and arrest campaign this morning.

Justice elusive for pro-Palestine activist killed by Israel 2 years ago

The family of a Turkish-American citizen is still demanding justice two years after she was shot dead by Israeli forces while protesting against the expansion of illegal colonies.

“It’s exactly where it was on day one,” Hamid Ali, husband of Aysenur Ezgi Eygi, told Anadolu news agency from his home in Seattle, US. “We’re still asking for the same thing, which is an investigation as a first step into getting justice for her.”

Eygi, 26, was killed on September 6, 2024, while participating in a demonstration in the occupied West Bank town of Beita, near Nablus.

The Israeli military said she was hit “indirectly and unintentionally” by gunfire. Witnesses and her family dispute this, saying she was targeted deliberately during a peaceful protest.

Then-US Secretary of State Antony Blinken called Eygi’s killing “unprovoked and unjustified” days after the shooting. But two years later, the US has not opened an independent investigation into her murder.

Netanyahu orders evacuation of some West Bank colonist outposts: Smotrich

PM Netanyahu has ordered the evacuation of some occupied West Bank colonies deemed illegal under Israeli law, the far-right Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich has said.

“To my knowledge, Netanyahu has given the instruction to evacuate [certain colonies],” Smotrich said, adding that he did not approve of it.

While all Israeli colonies in the West Bank are considered illegal under international law, some established without government approval – often consisting of just a few prefabricated homes – are also considered illegal by Israel.

Israeli forces destroy olive trees in the occupied West Bank ahead of harvest season

Israeli forces continue to uproot and bulldoze olive trees near the village of Wadi Daouq, Wafa has reported.

The head of the village council, Abdel Nasser al-Huwaiti, told the Palestinian news agency that the offensive had affected around 27 dunams (27,000sq metres) of land so far. He said Israeli forces are targeting agricultural land on both sides of the Jenin-Nablus road in the occupied West Bank.

The olive harvest season is approaching and olive trees like the ones being destroyed are a major source of income for many residents, the council chief added.

Several Palestinians have been injured after being shot by Israeli forces and colonists in the village of Hajeh, east of the town of Qalqilya, in the north of the occupied West Bank.

Israeli colonist gunfire has killed a Palestinian man in the village of Hajeh, east of Qalqilya in the northern occupied West Bank, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health.

The death comes after we earlier reported that several Palestinians had been injured when Israeli forces and colonists opened fire at the village.
