• The Israeli military has carried out an attack in the town of Haddatha, in southern Lebanon’s Bint Jbeil district, Lebanon’s National News Agency reports.

Israeli air raids, artillery fire strike southern Lebanon

Lebanon’s National News Agency (NNA) says Israel carried out a series of overnight air strikes on the Ali al-Taher heights, on the outskirts of Nabatieh al-Fawqa and the Doha Kfar Remman area in southern Lebanon.

NNA said the attacks coincided with intermittent Israeli artillery shelling around Doha Kfar Remman and al-Dabsha hill, which continued until dawn.

Israeli army attacks southern Lebanon amid increased military activity

The drone targeted an area between Al-Hanniye and Al-Qlailah in the Tyre district, according to the official National News Agency.

The agency said that an Israeli Merkava tank struck Tyre’s eastern neighbourhood of Mansouri in a separate incident.

The attacks come amid increased drone and surveillance aircraft activity in Tyre, the agency added.

Happened in southern Lebanon

• The Israeli army carried out overnight raids on the strategic Ali al-Taher hills on the outskirts of Nabatieh al-Fawqa, according to the state-owned National News Agency.
• Intermittent artillery shelling was reported in the areas of Doha Kfar Rumman and the al-Dabsha hill in Nabatieh.
• An Israeli army drone dropped a bomb in the area between the towns of al-Haniyah and al-Qalilah in the district of Tyre.
• A tank targeted the town of al-Mansouri. A heavy presence of drones and reconnaissance flights was also detected around al-Mansouri and Ras al-Ain, south of Tyre.
• In the southern suburbs of Beirut, a drone was detected flying.

Israeli army strikes home in southern Lebanon

Israeli warplanes have struck a house in the residential neighbourhood of al-Deir in the southern Lebanese village of Nabatieh al-Fawqa, according to the National News Agency.

It’s unclear if there are casualties.

Israeli forces also shelled areas around the strategic Ali al-Taher ridge and the nearby highlands of Doha Kufr Rumman, also in Nabatieh.

Separately, the Israeli army razed buildings in the town of Haddatha, in the Bint Jbeil district.

Araghchi praises Lebanese resistance against Israel’s ‘barbaric aggressions’

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has reaffirmed his country’s support for Lebanon’s sovereignty at a meeting in Tehran with Hassan Fadlallah, a Hezbollah representative in the Lebanese parliament.

In a post on Telegram, Araghchi “praised the resistance and honourable resilience of the people of Lebanon in the face of the barbaric aggressions” by Israeli forces.

Fadlallah, for his part, “stressed the need for Islamic countries to adopt a unified and firm stance to confront Israeli ambitions and crimes in Lebanon, Gaza, and the West Bank”.
