Yemen armed forces say 133 operations hit Houthis in 24 hours
Yemen’s armed forces have carried out 133 military operations against Houthi fighters over the past 24 hours, targeting what they described as the group’s capabilities and personnel, armed forces spokesperson Colonel Majed al-Nuzaili says.
In a post on X, he said that the armed forces used rocket launchers, artillery and drones to strike what he called sources of threat, and that the operations were carried out with the participation of army units stationed along front-line positions.

Yemen’s defense council orders expanded strikes against Houthi targets
Yemen’s National Defense Council, representing the country’s internationally recognized government, has ordered an expansion of air and missile strikes against Houthi targets, vowing further “painful” retaliatory operations.
The council met on Monday to review the field situation following a series of Houthi ballistic missile and drone attacks on displacement camps, civilian homes, and vital installations. The attacks killed and wounded dozens, including women and children, according to a statement from the Armed Forces Media Centre.
Commending the armed forces for their performance, the council said troops had absorbed attacks and inflicted “painful losses” on the Iran-backed Houthis. It directed authorities to swiftly assess damage from the strikes and provide care for the wounded and families of the fallen.
The Houthis, who have controlled the capital, Sanaa, and much of northern Yemen since 2014, have escalated cross-border attacks on Saudi Arabia and shipping in the Red Sea amid ongoing UN-led efforts to revive a stalled ceasefire. The latest uptick in violence threatens to unravel a period of relative calm that had raised hopes for a negotiated end to the decade-long conflict.

Yemeni forces shoot down Houthi drone in Hadramout
Forces aligned with Yemen’s internationally recognized government have shot down a suspected drone launched by the Iran-backed Houthi rebels in the country’s Hadramout region, according to the media centre of the Yemeni Emergency Forces.
The media centre shared photos of the destroyed drone shot down close to the al-Thaniyah camp by the air defence system of the First Division of the Yemeni Emergency Forces.
Meanwhile, Yemen’s Saudi-backed government says it carried out several drone attacks on Tuesday against Houthi positions in al-Makha, Harib, Bayhan and other locations in eastern Yemen’s Shabwa governorate.

Houthi ballistic missile hits house near Yemen’s Taiz
A ballistic missile launched by Yemen’s Iran-backed Houthi militia has hit a house in al-Akma village in Maqbana district, west of Taiz according to the media centre connected to the Saudi-backed government.
The media center said the missile caused extensive damage to the house and killed several livestock, but no human casualties were reported.

Maritime incident reported off Yemen’s coast: UKMTO
The United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) says it has received a report of a maritime incident approximately 40 nautical miles southeast of the city of al-Makha (Mocha) in western Yemen.
UKMTO says the incident occurred in the Red Sea, and reports indicate that a cargo ship was struck by several unidentified projectiles.
