US congresswoman condemns ongoing genocide in Gaza, demands arms embargo

US Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib has condemned the ongoing military actions by Israel in Gaza, accusing the government of committing human rights violations using US-made weapons.

“The genocide never ended. The Israeli apartheid government is carrying out an ethnic cleansing of the Palestinian people, using bombs that say ‘Made in the USA’,” she wrote on X.

“It’s unconscionable. Our government must stop funding genocide. Arms Embargo NOW!” she added.

Seven Palestine Action protesters face being sentenced as ‘terrorists’ by Scottish prosecutors

Defend Our Juries, a UK activist group, has condemned the move by Scottish prosecutors to attempt to sentence seven Palestine Action protesters with “terrorism charges” after they damaged Trump’s Turnberry golf course.

The group said “it’s now all too clear why the White House has designated Palestine Action as a global terror organization, alongside Al Qaeda. It’s because members of Palestine Action upset the President in March 2025 by making a mess of his golf course”.

“This is the terrifying reality of the ‘leader of the free world’. While he wreaks havoc on the global population, backing genocide and launching deranged wars of choice, issuing threats to China, Canada and Greenland, sanctioning the judges of the International Criminal Court, and turning the military on his own population, his primary concerns are his ballroom, his interns and his golf course,” a spokesperson for Defend our Juries said.

“This presents the rest of the world with a stark choice. What’s more important? Obedience to the mad emperor or standing up for democracy and the rule of law?,” the spokesperson added.

Scottish prosecutors’ first hearing is set for Monday over the action on March 8.

US sanctions on Palestine Action part of ‘anti-Palestine witch hunt’: Rights group

Human rights organization Cage International has condemned the US’s move to designate Palestine Action as a “terror” group, saying Washington is using the “language of counter-terrorism” as a cover to go after people using “lawful direct action” to protest Israel’s genocidal war on Gaza.

“Palestine Action has now been proscribed as a terrorist organization on both sides of the Atlantic – first by Britain in 2025, now by Washington,” said Cage International in a statement. “What unites them is the shared logic that disrupting the supply chain of arms for a genocide passes the ever expanding threshold for terrorism.”

The campaign leaves “no legitimate channel through which Palestinians or their allies are permitted to act”, added the statement.

Anas Mustapha, head of advocacy at Cage, said the US and UK sanctions are part of a “full-spectrum crackdown of Palestine solidarity globally”.

“The UK and US are upending centuries of hard won rights to protect a genocidal state they’re both complicit with,” said Mustapha.

Nearly half of Gaza households report going to bed hungry: WFP

Almost half of surveyed households in Gaza – 46 percent – reported going to bed hungry at least once in the previous 30 days, according to the latest figures from the UN’s World Food Program (WFP).

Seven percent said they had gone to bed hungry more than 10 times during that period, while half of households reported completely running out of food at least once.

The WFP’s August food security analysis also found that 21 percent of surveyed households were eating only one meal a day. About 38 percent had reduced the number of meals they ate each day, while 17 percent restricted adults’ food intake daily to prioritize children.

Three-quarters of surveyed households reported difficulties accessing markets, with cash shortages and high food prices among the main barriers.

Access to food remains severely constrained amid Israeli restrictions on the entry of goods. WFP says the daily average number of trucks crossing into Gaza since last year’s ceasefire is 217 – far below the 600 trucks per day agreed under the ceasefire agreement.

Gaza forced to use unreliable online payments amid ‘cash famine’

Israeli restrictions on cash entering Gaza and the damage caused by the war have crippled the strip’s banking system and daily commerce.

An acute shortage of cash has become known as a “cash famine”. People technically have money but have difficulty accessing it, and also struggle to have the worn bank notes they do have accepted by merchants.

The Palestine Monetary Authority, which oversees the banking sector, says that Israeli attacks have destroyed more than 50 bank branches across Gaza, as well as dozens of cash machines.

Three family members killed in Israeli attack near southern Gaza’s Khan Younis

Three members of the same family have been killed in an Israeli drone attack north of Khan Younis in southern Gaza, according to our colleagues on the ground, citing Nasser Medical Complex.

The latest attack comes amid continued Israeli strikes across the Gaza Strip despite the “ceasefire” agreed last year.

Israeli gunfire injures at least one Palestinian in central Gaza

A Palestinian has been seriously wounded by Israeli forces east of Deir el-Balah in the central Gaza Strip, according to Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital.

The hospital said the victim was wounded by gunfire.

Israeli missile kills one person in Gaza City

One person has been killed and others injured after an Israeli drone fired at least one missile at a group of citizens in the Sabra neighborhood of Gaza City, according to the Wafa news agency.

The body of Hassan Al-Deiri and a number of wounded people were taken to the city’s al-Shifa Hospital, medical sources said.

Israeli military claims it killed Hamas, PIJ commanders in Gaza City

The Israeli military says it killed two Palestinian commanders in separate attacks on Gaza City on Thursday.

It identified one of the victims as Ibrahim Nabil Ibrahim Bass, saying he was killed in Gaza City’s Shati refugee camp. The statement claimed he was as a commander in Hamas’s military wing who entered Israel and participated in the October 7, 2023 attacks.

In a separate attack in the city’s Sabra area, the military said it killed Hamdi Ahmad Hamid Kahlil, whom it identified as an observation platoon commander with Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ).

The military also alleged that the two men had recently been involved in planning attacks against Israeli forces and civilians and attempting to rebuild their groups’ capabilities in violation of the ceasefire.

It provided no evidence to substantiate those claims.

The way how the Israelis are using the claim without evidence differs from the way how the USAID Office of Inspector-General is using the same claim but against 100 active and former UNWRA employees.

The Israeli tactic is to divert attention away from the revelation that Netanyahu allowed "October7th" to happen by silencing that he knew for at least a year that Hamas was planning something amid the prosecution again him over bribery and corruption that runs since 2017.

The Israelis started targeting UNRWA in November 2023 by masterminding with Cyprus a bypass campaign to seek full control of the agency's humanitarian program.

A month later, they accused the UN agency of being linked to Hamas. The latter is no other then an extension of the directive the Israeli war belligerent has been using since the start of their genocidal war in Gaza: "Threat everyone and everything that moves and not move as Hamas."

The USAID Office of Inspector-General has just adopted the Israeli belligerent's directive.

One person killed in new Israeli attack in Gaza City: Palestinian news agency

An Israeli attack has killed another person in Gaza City, this time in the city’s Mashahra area, bringing the total number of people killed in the enclave today to five, according to the Wafa news agency.

Others were also wounded in the latest attack, which targeted a tent sheltering displaced people, reported Wafa.

As we reported earlier, Israeli attacks killed one person in Gaza City’s Sabra neighborhood and three people near Khan Younis.

At least four children in Gaza killed in Israeli attacks over past five days: UNICEF

At least four children have been killed and many others injured by Israeli attacks in Gaza over the past five days, UNICEF said in a recent statement.

Israeli attacks have also destroyed a warehouse containing about $800,000 worth of nutrition supplies and severely damaged a UNICEF-supported water facility, the statement said. The supplies were intended to support more than 40,500 children and 4,900 pregnant and breastfeeding women.

“More than 4,000 people, including around 2,000 children, rely on safe drinking water from the facility,” UNICEF added.

UNICEF called for respect for international humanitarian and human rights law in the statement, including the protection of children’s lives, and for civilian infrastructure and essential services to be safeguarded.

Failure to stick to Gaza roadmap could revive war: Board of Peace chief Mladenov

Nickolay Mladenov, the high representative for US President Donald Trump’s Board of Peace, has warned that a failure to uphold the roadmap for peace in Gaza proposed by the board could lead to a collapse of the tenuous ceasefire there, and kickstart a fresh war.

A war can only revive after that war has ceased, paused if not ended.  Our summaries show that the Israelis never have done one of the three as mentioned.

No better alternative to Gaza plan: Board of Peace official Mladenov

Nickolay Mladenov has told Al Jazeera that there is no better alternative to the current plan for the Gaza Strip and warned that a return to war would be devastating.

The Board of Peace head said his warning over the potential collapse of the ceasefire was directed at both the Palestinian and Israeli sides.

The ceasefire has been violated by the Israelis months before he warns both. His view are not neutral as he is appointed by a president who wanted to turn Gaza into a real estate project.

Most important: It is about a plan drafted by a country that has deep ties with the Israelis since the 1960s.

Morocco to join Gaza stabilization force: Board of Peace chief Mladenov 

Mladenov also said the mechanism and locations for deploying the International Stabilization Force in Gaza had been determined, with its advance elements expected to arrive in the enclave soon.

The Board of Peace’s high representative for Gaza said that an agreement had been reached for Morocco to participate in the force, while Turkiye would not take part.

February 20, 2026 -- Indonesia, Morocco, Kazakhstan, Kosovo and Albania have pledged to send troops to Gaza, the commander of a newly created International Stabilization Force (ISF) has said during a meeting of United States President Donald Trump’s so-called Board of Peace.

US Army General Jasper Jeffers, who has been appointed as the head of a future Gaza stabilization force by Trump’s board, said on Thursday that the Indonesian contingent to the mission has “accepted the position of deputy commander”.

Pledges of $7bn received for Gaza reconstruction: Board of Peace chief

Mladenov said $7bn had been pledged for the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip and he expressed hope that the National Committee would soon assume its responsibilities in the enclave.

He said that Qatar, Egypt and Turkey had played an important role in advancing the agreement with Hamas.

Mladenov added that talks with the Israeli side on increasing the entry of aid into Gaza were progressing well.

Hezbollah leader calls for unity on Palestine

The leader of the Lebanese armed group Hezbollah has called for unity on Palestine.

In extracts of a speech posted on Hezbollah’s Telegram channel, Naim Qassem said “The Palestinian cause is not a sectarian issue, but rather an Islamic, national, pan-Arab, and humanitarian one.”

He urged Arab and Islamic countries “not to stand idly by while enemies enter our region and our brothers suffer”.

Gaza’s health ministry says more than 1,300 Palestinians have been killed in Israeli strikes since a US-brokered “ceasefire” signed between Israel and Hamas in October 2025.

Israeli forces raid occupied West Bank village, fire tear gas

Several Palestinians have suffered from tear gas inhalation late on Thursday, during an incursion by Israeli forces into the village of al-Lubban Asharqiya, south of Nablus, according to reports from the Palestinian news agency Wafa.

Wafa reported that Israeli forces stormed parts of the village and fired sound bombs and tear gas across several neighborhoods.

The gas caused multiple residents to experience breathing difficulties, and gas canisters sparked fires near local homes, it added.

Israeli colonists storm West Bank village and perform rituals at dawn

Hundreds of Israeli colonists have stormed the village of Awarta, south of Nablus, under the protection of the army at dawn, reports the Palestinian Wafa news agency.

The colonists also performed Talmudic rituals at Islamic sites in the village, while Israeli soldiers seized one of the houses, turning it into a military barracks, Wafa said.

Meanwhile, troops stormed the town of Tammun, south of Tubas, at dawn this morning with several military vehicles. Citing local sources, Wafa reported that Israeli forces stormed the town, spread out in several places, and raided a house, without reporting any arrests.

Additionally, Israeli forces arrested a Palestinian from the village of Tal, southwest of Nablus, at dawn today.

Security sources told Wafa that forces stormed the village, raided and searched several homes, ransacked their contents, arrested a Palestinian, and seized his vehicle.

Israeli forces install new roadblocks around besieged homes in Qusra

Israeli forces have installed new roadblocks around three Palestinian homes in Qusra in the occupied West Bank.

Israeli colonists have surrounded the houses since August 9, leaving Palestinian families trapped inside.

The new roadblocks have further restricted access to the homes and surrounding area.

New Israeli roadblocks set up around Palestinian homes in Qusra as siege continues

When Israeli authorities set up three new roadblocks at the Ras al-Ain hill in the northern occupied West Bank village of Qusra on Wednesday, Abdel Hakim Wadi knew he was about to lose access to his land below once and for all.

The roadblocks’ gates – large yellow and orange metal bars placed on two large concrete blocks – are infamous in the West Bank. They’re placed at the entrances of many, if not most, villages and have multiplied since Israel’s genocidal war on Gaza began in October 2023. The only ones holding the keys are the Israeli forces.

Israeli soldiers had already placed a gate at the main entrance of Qusra itself, forcing Palestinians travelling into the village to take alternative routes – but often to find those closed as well.

Israel attacks car in occupied West Bank’s Jenin

The Israel military has carried out a drone attack targeting a car containing several people in the Jenin area “a short while ago”, according to its statement on Telegram.

A spokesperson for the Israeli army claimed one of the passengers was classified as the leader of an armed group, along with two of his aides, according to Israel’s Channel 12.

“A short while ago, the [army] conducted a precise strike against several terrorists in the Jenin area,” the military said in a brief statement.

UK public money flowing to firms linked to illegal Israeli colonies in West Bank

At least 17 companies linked to illegal Israeli colonies in the occupied West Bank hold United Kingdom public-sector contracts worth more than 2.1 billion pounds ($2.85bn).

More than 140 UK Labour MPs are calling on the government to ban trade with illegal Israeli colonies, a move Prime Minister Andy Burnham is considering.

Analysis of procurement records, company filings and corporate disclosures found that businesses named by the United Nations over their involvement in illegal Israeli colonies – and companies those businesses ultimately own or control as subsidiaries – have secured contracts across the British public sector, including in areas such as road maintenance, transport, emergency services and driving licensing.

“Evidence is growing that the UK may be in breach of its international obligations … by continuing to contract with entities identified by the UN as providing assistance of this sort,” Stephen Humphreys, professor of international law at the London School of Economics, said.

Israel’s defence minister says forces have occupied Jenin camp in occupied West Bank

Israel Katz has said the Jenin camp in the occupied West Bank has been “evacuated of residents and occupied by” the Israeli military.

In a social media post congratulating the military, police and Shin Bet for today’s earlier strike in Jenin, which killed three, he said the camp has been “cleared of terrorists and terrorist infrastructure, and the [Israeli military] is permanently stationed there, like other terrorist camps” in the West Bank.

The Israeli military has said it killed Hamas commander Qais Bitawi in the attack on a car.

Katz also commended Israel’s “offensive and proactive” policy in the West Bank, saying, “We do not wait for terrorism – we pursue it, conquer its strongholds and thwart its people.”

Israel claims killing of alleged Hamas commander in Jenin drone attack

The Israeli military has said they killed Qais Bitawi, an alleged senior Hamas commander, along with two others in a drone strike in Jenin on Friday.

Israeli forces sent reinforcements and established a barrier along the targeted site in the occupied West Bank city soon after the attack.

The Palestine Red Crescent Society said the Israeli army detained their crew when they arrived at the site of the attack. They were released after their medical equipment was confiscated.

The Israeli military demanded that the crew leave without allowing the transfer of people injured by its strike, the organization added.

Israeli military seizes three bodies killed in Jenin drone attack

Israeli forces have seized three bodies of those killed in the army’s drone attack on a car in Jenin, northern occupied West Bank, according to our colleagues on the ground.

Israeli forces shoot two residents who tried to thwart West Bank settler raid: Palestinian news agency

Israeli forces have shot two residents of the Palestinian village of al-Mughayyir, near Ramallah, after they tried to stop Israeli colonists, who raided the town, from stealing local livestock, reports the Wafa news agency.

After shooting the two residents in the legs, Israeli forces blocked ambulances from picking them up, the agency added.

• At least three Palestinians have been injured in an attack by colonists in the village of al-Mughayyir, according to the Palestine Red Crescent Society. The colonists reportedly carried out the attack under the protection of Israeli soldiers, who also fired at Palestinians.
• Colonists attacked a father and his son, injuring both, according to the Palestinian Wafa news agency. The father told Wafa that the attack took place on their property in the village of Husan, west of Bethlehem.
• The Colonization and Wall Resistance Commission says colonists and Israeli soldiers set 900 fires in the West Bank between the beginning of 2023 and July 10 this year. The blazes targeted Palestinian properties, homes, vehicles and facilities. About 89 percent of the fires were set by colonists, while the remaining 11 percent were by Israeli soldiers.
• Colonists have destroyed a Palestinian farm near the town of Arraba near Jenin.
