Israeli forces attack towns in Lebanon’s Tyre
Israel’s military has carried out an air strike on the town of Zibqin, in southern Lebanon’s Tyre district, according to the state-run National News Agency.
It said Israeli forces also fired artillery at the municipalities of al-Mansouri and Majdal Zoun and adjacent valleys, and that some houses in al-Mansouri were blown up.
They had previously shelled both towns on Thursday, during a broader advance towards border towns that wounded at least two people.

Israeli air strikes and artillery hit several towns in southern Lebanon
Israel’s military launched a series of air raids overnight on southern Lebanon as the “ceasefire” and occupation continue.
Shelling was also reported in the Nabatieh governate including the towns of Nabatieh al-Fawqa, Zoutar al-Sharqiyah, and Khallet Mayfadoun. In Bint Jbeil district, the towns of Beit Lif and Hadatha and the outskirts of Baraachit were also attacked.
Israeli army vehicles were seen patrolling the towns of Baraachit, Hadatha, Beit Yahoun, and Mays al-Jabal, the National News Agency reported.
Artillery fire targeted Wadi al-Salouqi and outside Touline in Marjeyoun, and machine-gun fire was reported in Sarbine, Hadatha, the outskirts of Mays al-Jabal, and Wadi Zibqine.

Israeli attacks multiple towns across southern Lebanon
Israeli warplanes have carried out a series of air strikes across southern Lebanon.
The state-run National News Agency reported areas hit included Nabatieh, Bint Jbeil, and Marjayoun districts.
A large explosion was reported in the town of Ainata in the Nabatieh area.
Separately, it said Israeli aircraft struck the outskirts of Bar’ashit, a town in Bint Jbeil district, and hit the town of Deir Seryan in Marjayoun district.

Israeli aircraft have attacked the Wadi al-Hujayr area in southern Lebanon.
Wadi al-Hujayr is a valley in southern Lebanon’s Nabatieh governorate near the Litani River.

Lebanese border town condemns Israeli burning of hospital
The municipality of Houla in southern Lebanon accused Israeli forces of systematically destroying public facilities in border villages and highlighted the torching of a government hospital.
Israeli soldiers also destroyed Houla’s official school and daycare centre previously. It called the latest incident – the burning of Mays al-Jabal’s government hospital – a “flagrant violation of the sanctity of public institutions”, state-run National News Agency reported.
The municipality called on the Lebanese state, the United Nations, and international humanitarian organisations to hold those responsible to account.
Lebanon’s Health Ministry said Israeli troops set fire to the Mays al-Jabal hospital on Friday after occupying the building and using it as a military post, describing the act as a war crime. The facility had already been put out of service by Israeli strikes in October 2024 and was undergoing reconstruction.

Lebanese MP urges Hezbollah to open direct talks with president
Lebanese member of parliament Alain Aoud says Hezbollah should engage directly with President Joseph Aoun on a roadmap for negotiations aimed at securing an Israeli withdrawal from occupied territory.
“The success of the path led by the president of the republic to stop the war and restore sovereignty requires the cooperation of all Lebanese and responsiveness to the path of confining arms,” Aoun was quoted as saying in a post by the presidency on X.
“I call on Hezbollah to come to Baabda [presidential palace] and open a dialogue with the president of the republic to agree on a roadmap that activates negotiations and leads to Israel’s withdrawal and the deployment of the army across all Lebanese territories.”

Lebanon’s PM reaffirms disarmament commitment in talks with US senator
Lebanon’s prime minister says his government is committed to extending the state’s authority and enforcing disarmament across the country.
Nawaf Salam made the comments during a meeting with US Senator Jeanne Shaheen – a senior member of the US Senate Foreign Relations Committee – at Lebanon’s permanent mission at the UN in New York, The Lebanese PM is there for the 81st session of the UN General Assembly.
Salam also stressed the need to avoid any vacuum that may arise with the end of the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) mission in three months, stressing the need to maintain an international presence in southern Lebanon.
UNIFIL’s mandate in Lebanon officially ends on December 31.
