Hezbollah chief says resistance is only path to liberating occupied land
Hezbollah secretary-general Naim Qassem says confronting the arrogance of “Israel” can be achieved through resistance, adding that it is the only path to liberating the occupied land from hegemonic powers.
Qassem told a conference on Saturday that Lebanon had experienced the role of resistance firsthand and witnessed its impact on both liberation and the Palestinian cause.
“Resistance is the only way to liberate the land,” he said.
“In Lebanon, we have put this resistance to the test and found that it liberates both land and people, forces the Israeli enemy to retreat in humiliation, and restores vitality and potential to the Palestinian cause,” Qassem said, adding the Palestinian cause remains a “central issue”.

Israeli forces fire artillery at Lebanese towns
Israeli forces have continued their attacks on southern Lebanon overnight, including in and near the towns of Aita al-Jabal and Zawtar al-Sharqiyah, according to the state-run National News Agency.
The agency said Israeli forces launched artillery attacks targeting the forest of Aita al-Jabal town in the Bint Jbeil district and carried out air attacks on Wadi al-Salouqi and Wadi al-Hujair at dawn. It said there had been “successive bombings since midnight in al-Mansouri and the outskirts of Beit al-Sayyad”.
Israeli forces also launched artillery attacks targeting the northern outskirts of the town of Zawtar al-Sharqiyah in the Nabatieh governorate, the agency added.
The reports made no mention of any damage or casualties.
Yesterday, the NNA reported that Israeli forces had carried out a double-tap strike on Nabatieh al-Fawqa and another on Kfar Tebnit, also in southern Lebanon.

‘Series of explosions’ in Majdal Zoun
The National News Agency says the town of Majdal Zoun “is being subjected to a series of hostile bombings, coinciding with a search operation in the area”.
Earlier, the agency said there had been Israeli artillery attacks in and near the towns of Aita al-Jabal and Zawtar al-Sharqiyah, as well as bombings in Wadi al-Salouqi, Wadi al-Hujeir, al-Mansouri and the outskirts of Beit al-Sayyad.

Blast injures child in southern Lebanon as Israeli occupation continues
The incident occurred after an undetonated weapon exploded in the town of Dabaal in Tyre district.
The wounded child was transferred to a nearby hospital for treatment as authorities started an investigation in the area, according to the official National News Agency.

Israel launches air attack near southern Lebanon’s Qantara
Israel has launched an air attack on the outskirts of Qantara in southern Lebanon, according to our reporters on the ground.
The state-run National News Agency (NNA) also reported that Israeli warplanes targeted the town of Bani Hayyan.

Loud explosion heard across southern Lebanon
An explosion has been heard in the Zahrani and Nabatieh areas of southern Lebanon. Israeli forces in Yahmar al-Shuqaif were responsible for the blast, reports Lebanon’s National News Agency.
The Israeli army also launched an air raid on the town of Nabatieh al-Fawqa, according to our reporters on the ground.
