Israeli army fires two shells into western Damascus suburb
The Israeli army has fired two shells between the town of Beit Jinn and the Red Hills in the western suburb of Damascus, the country’s official news agency, SANA, is reporting.
The two shells landed in agricultural land on Friday, and no injuries were reported, it added.
This latest attack follows a similar incident on August 18, when the Israeli army fired an artillery shell towards the Yarmouk Basin area in the western suburb of the Deraa province, targeting a valley west of the town of Abideen. That attack also caused no casualties or material damage, SANA added.
Syria continues to demand a full Israeli withdrawal from its territory, insisting that all measures taken by Israeli forces in the areas it controls are null and void under international law, SANA reported, adding that Damascus has also called on the international community to fulfill its responsibilities and compel Israel to withdraw completely from southern Syria.

Israeli forces raid home in Syria’s Quneitra province
Israeli forces have raided and searched a home in the village of Taranja in the northern countryside of southwestern Syria’s Quneitra province, according to Syria’s state-run Alikhbaria TV.
The report said the raid took place during an Israeli incursion into the area, without elaborating on the results of the development.
Syrian President Ahmad al-Sharaa said Damascus was working to reach a security agreement with Israel that would “pave the way for a comprehensive peace without relinquishing Syria’s right to the occupied Golan Heights”.

Turkish president warns Israel is using provocations to destabilize the Middle East
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has denounced Israel’s “war-obsessed” government for using provocations to destabilize the Middle East in a recent speech.
“Zionism threatens the peace of its neighbors”, he said, targeting everyone who defends human values, he added.
Erdogan warned that the international community is failing to respond adequately to the Israeli “genocide network’s lawless policies, which disregard rules, principles, values, and boundaries.”
The Turkish government is working to strengthen alliances across the Islamic world, Erdogan said.
Erdogan’s speech comes after an Israeli attack on an airbase in Syria a few weeks ago. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said the attack aimed to stop Turkish troops from deploying at the base.
The Turkish Presidential Communications Directorate said the claims “aim to legitimize Israel’s unlawful air strikes targeting the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Syria” and were part of “expansionist and destabilizing policies”.
