Israeli air strike kills two Palestinians in Gaza City
An Israeli air strike has killed at least two Palestinians in Gaza City, according to local health officials.
Medics said the two people were traveling in a car near Al-Azhar University in western Gaza City when the strike hit. Several others in the area were wounded.
The attack comes a day after a man was killed and a child seriously wounded in a strike on Khan Younis, in southern Gaza.
The latest casualties come despite a US-brokered “ceasefire” that began last October. At least 640 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli fire since then, according to local health authorities.
Gaza has been devastated by more than two years of Israeli attacks that have killed more than 72,000 Palestinians.

The Palestinian news agency Wafa reports that Israeli forces detained a Palestinian man and seized his vehicle in the village of Duma, south of Nablus.
Israeli settlers established a new illegal outpost on Palestinian-owned land between al-Lubban Asharqiya, south of Nablus, and Yasouf, east of Salfit, it said.
Three Palestinians were killed by Israeli settlers and soldiers in their village near Ramallah on Saturday night, in what local reports describe as the third deadly attack in a week of escalating violence across the occupied territory.
A sixth Palestinian died on Saturday after inhaling military-grade tear gas fired by Israeli forces, according to reports.
