The Israeli military attacked southern Lebanon, alleging Hezbollah launched two explosive drones at its forces in the Ali Taher Ridge area.

A statement said strikes targeted the Lebanese group’s infrastructure. It’s unclear if there were any casualties.

Thousands of Lebanese civilians – including hundreds of children, women and first responders – have been killed since March in Israeli military attacks despite its claims of only targeting Hezbollah personnel and infrastructure.

Casualties reported in Israeli attacks on southern Lebanon

One person has been killed and another injured in a drone attack in Nabatieh, southern Lebanon, reports the official National News Agency.

Separately, an Israeli drone attacked a building in al-Maslakh neighborhood in Nabatieh with a guided missile, the agency said, without providing further details.

Earlier, the Israeli military said it attacked the region, alleging Hezbollah launched two explosive drones at its forces in the Ali al-Taher Ridge area.

Happened in southern Lebanon

• One person have been killed and another wounded by an Israeli drone attack on the al-Ruwaiss neighborhood of the city of Nabatieh, NNA reports.
• Israeli forces launched a missile on an apartment in the Al-Maslakh neighborhood of Nabatieh. It is unclear if there were casualties.
• Israeli forces bombed the areas of Beit Lif village, Mansouri and Hadatha.
• They earlier targeted Mansouri in an artillery shelling campaign.
• Large bombing operations were conducted in the municipality of Kfar Tebnit, with intense explosions heard throughout Nabatieh.
• An Israeli drone bombed the Dier neighborhood in Nabatieh al-Fawqa. No injuries were reported.
• Israeli warplanes were seen flying low over the town of Rashaya, in the western Bekaa Governorate.
• An Israeli drone was also reported flying in circles over the town of Jezzine.
• Similarly, an Israeli drone was noted over Mansouri before areas in the town were bombed.

Israeli artillery shelling targets Wadi al-Hujeir, Beit Leef, southern Lebanon

Lebanon’s National News Agency has reported that heavy Israeli artillery shelling has targeted Wadi al-Hujeir and the town of Beit Leef, southern Lebanon.

Israeli attacks have continued in southern Lebanon on a near-daily basis despite a June agreement between the two countries.

Qatar’s Sheikh Mohammed speaks to Turkish, Lebanese FMs to discuss latest regional tensions

Qatari Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani spoke to his Turkish counterpart, Hakan Fidan, during a phone call, during which they reviewed “relations of cooperation between the two countries”.

According to a statement by the Qatari Foreign Ministry, they also discussed the latest regional developments, including “the joint coordination to de-escalate tensions and promote security and stability in the region.”

In a separate call, Sheikh Mohammed spoke to his Lebanese counterpart, Nawaf Salam, and also discussed regional tensions and affirmed Doha’s full support for all “diplomatic efforts and endeavors aimed at reaching a solution” to ensure freedom of maritime navigation and “sustainable peace in the region”.
