Israeli forces claim 5 Palestinian fighters killed in Gaza over 2 days
Israeli forces have killed five Palestinians who they claim belonged to Hamas and Islamic Jihad in the Gaza Strip over the past 48 hours.
In a statement on Telegram, the military said three Islamic Jihad fighters were killed on Sunday, while two members of Hamas’s Rafah Brigade were killed on Monday.
According to Gaza’s Health Ministry, 1,493 Palestinians have been killed and 5,299 wounded in Israeli attacks despite the so-called “ceasefire” since October 2025.

Gaza Civil Defence warns of deepening humanitarian crisis
Gaza’s Civil Defence agency says it is deeply concerned about the escalating rate of repeated forced displacement of Palestinians in the vicinity of the “Yellow Line”, a demarcation boundary for the withdrawal of Israel’s occupying troops established during the October 2025 “ceasefire”.
In a statement, the agency said an increase in “massive explosions” and “indiscriminate gunfire” by Israeli forces has damaged hundreds of displaced people’s tents and compromised the structural integrity of many previously targeted homes in the area.
The “continuation of this Israeli aggression has exacerbated the suffering of thousands of displaced persons, forcing them to seek new shelters and exposing them to the risk of their homes collapsing due to structural cracks”, it said.
Israel has expanded its military occupation in Gaza into an ever-smaller share of the besieged territory, with nearly two-thirds now under Israeli military control or subject to access restrictions.
The Civil Defence appealed for urgent intervention to “halt this war against the civilian population”.

Board of Peace hails 1st anniversary of Trump’s ‘enduring ceasefire’ in Gaza
The US-backed “Board of Peace” has commemorated the anniversary of the “ceasefire” in Gaza in a post saying, “President Trump’s leadership ended a war that had no end in sight.”
Calling the agreement on October 10, 2025 an “enduring ceasefire”, the board said “a series of achievements have built the foundations for a new Gaza”, and “a long arduous process” for the “recovery plan” is underway.
At least 1,400 Palestinians have been killed in Israeli attacks since the “ceasefire” came into force, with no Palestinian technocratic administration in place, and Israel still occupying 70 percent of Gaza’s territory.
More than 80 percent of all buildings in the besieged Gaza Strip have been destroyed during Israel’s three-year genocidal war, with more than 74,000 Palestinians killed.

Israeli forces raid NGOs in Ramallah that documented abuse of Palestinians
Palestinians have told us how Addameer (Prisoner Support and Human Rights Association) has been documenting Israeli violations against Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails since the genocidal war in Gaza started.
We’ve seen how the number of arrests has dramatically surged. We’ve also seen how conditions inside Israeli prisons have become utterly difficult for jailed Palestinians. That is why organisations like Addameer would document these cases and testimonies, and would usually share them with international NGOs, with the United Nations, to show the extent of Israel’s crackdown on Palestinians.
And that is exactly what they don’t want. They don’t want journalists like us here. They don’t want organisations like Addameer, or organisations dealing with human rights and documenting violations such as Al-Haq.
Also, Defence for Children International, which was constantly being targeted by Israel, had to close its doors after working for so long to document violations against children.
Some of these children are not spared from being arrested. Children as young as 12 can be subjected to military detention, and prosecution in military courts. All of that is being documented by organisations like Addameer, and that’s why the Israeli forces are cracking down on them.

Israeli raids on Ramallah and Al-Bireh leave child and journalist injured
The Palestinian Ministry of Health says a child was wounded by live ammunition and several other Palestinians suffered suffocation as a result of Israeli attacks in Ramallah and Al-Bireh.
Our colleagues on the ground also report that a journalist was injured after occupation forces opened fire and fired tear gas during the attacks.
Israeli forces have raided the offices of several Palestinian NGOs, and the courtyard of the Palestine Medical Complex, in the occupied West Bank.

Israeli attacks in Ramallah injure two journalists
Two journalists were injured due to Israeli forces firing tear gas and sound bombs in Ramallah
The Wafa news agency named the casualties, saying Palestine TV correspondent Khaled Mattawa was injured by a sound bomb in the hand, and Sky News Arabia correspondent Firas Lotfi was injured by shrapnel in the foot, “as a result of a gas bomb being fired directly at them”.

Civilians caught in crossfire as Israeli forces raid NGOs in central Ramallah
We just saw a woman with two children, two babies, in her car, trying to move away and flee the scene.
But again, as civilians, they’re always in the crossfire. And Palestinians in the occupied West Bank at large, the vast majority of them are unarmed. They are just Palestinians who are trying to go about their lives.
So, the attack against them has nothing to do with whether they pose a real security threat to Israel, but is rather another manifestation of the occupation, another reminder that they can raid the centre of Ramallah, the place that is the seat of the Palestinian Authority, where the Palestinian political leadership is. The Palestinian presidential headquarters is probably just a five- or six-minute drive from here.
All of that is a reminder that no one is spared, and that there is no respect whatsoever for the Palestinian Authority.
This appears to be yet another step to undermine the Palestinian Authority and remind Palestinians that they are at the mercy and the control of the Israeli forces, who can raid any town, any day, any moment, and attack any organization.

Palestinian rights groups have ‘hands tied behind their back’
Israeli forces raided the offices of two Palestinian nongovernmental organizations (NGOs) and the courtyard of the Palestine Medical Complex in the occupied West Bank.
According to human rights lawyer Muhammad Dahleh, Israeli authorities use laws and military orders to shut down Palestinian human rights organisations, often relying on evidence that is withheld from the groups and their lawyers.
“They name them as terrorist organisations based on privileged evidence, meaning that the evidence is not presented to the organisations and not presented to their lawyers,” Dahleh said.
“So you need to object to that process or that declaration with your hands basically tied behind your back,” he said.
Dahleh said several Palestinian rights organisations were outlawed in 2021, with subsequent legal objections rejected by Israeli military authorities.

Israel preparing for PA-backed violence in West Bank: Netanyahu
Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu says his government is “preparing for a scenario in which Palestinian Authority forces turn their guns against Israel in the West Bank”.
Netanyahu made the comments in a video posted on his official X account, saying Israel will extend its complete control across all of the occupied West Bank.
“There will be no Arab army west of the Jordan River. There will be only be the [Israeli military]”, he said.
As recently as 2024, PA security forces have conducted extended military operations against armed Palestinian groups opposed to the Israeli government.

Australia, Canada, France, UK urge PA not to postpone elections
The foreign ministers of Australia, Canada, France and the United Kingdom have urged the Palestinian Authority to reconsider its decision to postpone legislative and presidential elections, initially scheduled for November, until September 2027.
In a joint statement, the ministers said they “deeply regret” the decision by Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, warning that the delay would deprive Palestinians of another opportunity to vote and further undermine public confidence in democratic institutions.
Nearly two decades have passed since the last elections to the Palestinian Legislative Council, while elections scheduled for 2021 were also postponed, the statement said.
The ministers acknowledged significant challenges to holding elections in line with international standards and ensuring the participation of all eligible Palestinians.
They also commended the Central Elections Commission for its work to prepare for the polls.
They said credible elections were an important part of Abbas’s and the Palestinian Authority’s commitment to reforms, democratic renewal and accountable governance, in line with the New York Declaration of July 2025.
They also urged Israel to refrain from actions that could obstruct the elections, including by ensuring the practical arrangements needed for all Palestinians to participate.
