US senator calls Netanyahu ‘war criminal’, says he ‘lies’
Senator Chris Van Hollen has called Netanyahu “a wanted war criminal”, accusing him of lying.
In a video message posted on X, Van Hollen remarked that “he lies and lies and lies”, referring to the Israeli prime minister. He continued, “But worse, he’s also a wanted war criminal. There is a warrant out for his arrest for crimes committed in Gaza, for the destruction of Gaza.”
The senator also noted that Netanyahu “refuses to provide accountability and justice for American citizens who were killed on the West Bank by violent Israeli settlers or Israeli security forces”, pointing out that several countries bar him from crossing their borders.
“The prime minister is lucky that the United States has let him cross our borders,” he said. “But that doesn’t erase his lies, and that doesn’t erase his war crimes. He should be shamed and ashamed.”

Qatar’s PM condemns Israel’s rejection of Gaza roadmap at UNGA meeting
Qatar’s Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani has condemned Israel’s rejection of the roadmap aimed at completing the implementation of the comprehensive plan to end the conflict in Gaza.
He made the remarks during a closed-level meeting of heads of state and government convened by French President Macron, UK PM Burnham, and Canadian PM Carney on the sidelines of the UNGA in New York.
Sheikh Mohammed “emphasised the necessity for the international community to fulfil its responsibilities and to press Israel to meet its obligations under the Gaza ceasefire agreement, and to halt its ongoing violations of the rights of the Palestinian people, in order to ensure the completion of the implementation of the roadmap, leading to the achievement of peace and stability in the Gaza Strip,” according to Qatar’s Foreign Ministry.
He also reaffirmed Qatar’s “steadfast” support for the Palestinian cause and their right to an independent state based on the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital, in accordance with international legitimacy resolutions and the two-state solution.
Netanyahu rejected the 15-point plan in August, insisting Israeli forces would not withdraw from Gaza until Hamas fully disarms.

Democratic Senator Chris Van Hollen has called Netanyahu a lying “war criminal” before his visit to the UN General Assembly, holding him responsible for the killing of Americans.
“Netanyahu lies and lies and lies,” said Van Hollen.

Israel’s ambassador to the US says his son injured at West Bank checkpoint
Israel’s ambassador to the US Yechiel Leiter has confirmed that his son was the soldier injured at an alleged car-ramming incident at a checkpoint west of Ramallah in the occupied West Bank.
Earlier on Wednesday, a man was shot dead by Israeli soldiers following what Israel’s police described as a car-ramming attack.
Leiter said in a social media post that medics “are now fighting to save the life of Neria”, referring to his son.
Israeli police have not identified the soldier who was injured.
